Rich & distinctive, our legendary handmade royal plum cake is as authentic as it comes: after all we did bake the first one in Indian history, in 1883. And while the recipe has evolved over the past 140-odd years (brewing our own arrack is no longer a legal cakewalk) this bestseller is made in pure butter and features our unique blend of spices, an abundance of dry and candied fruits stewed in traditional bell-metal urlis, not to mention a distinct and deep flavour from baking in wood-fired ovens and a whole lot of love, old-school style.
